“Mighty effort, never tired” – that’s what the giants use to build Valhalla, and that’s what a company uses to mount the Ring. We have been bringing the mighty effort daily for two weeks now in Houston, and tomorrow we will start running the various scenes through in preparation for hitting the stage later this week. There is so much to tell about this spectacular production and our remarkable cast that it’s hard to know where to begin. I’ll say this: I’m working every day with people who will be singing this great repertoire for the next few decades, and we are part of a telling of this great myth that is theatrical, shocking, and moving.
